Yield: 12-16 cookies
Ingredients:
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp peppermint extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup crushed candy cane pieces
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix together the butter and sugars until combined, then add the egg, extracts and salt.
- Add in the flour, baking soda and baking powder, mixing until a dough forms.
- Mix in the candy cane pieces and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop into 2 Tbsp sized balls onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
